Whilst we knew this acquisition would raise some interest, we have been blown away by the positive feedback since the news broke. We have been contacted by everyone from local businesses looking to make The Ship their new home, to former employees of the previous tenant looking to get involved and do what they can to get the building up and running again.

Some of the local news articles can be accessed here:

I’d like to thank everyone who has got in touch and promise that we will keep publishing news on our plans. Please keep the feedback coming.

We have a new image planned for the building retaining the nickname “The Ship” alongside the strapline “Spirit of Enterprise”. We feel this is a fitting tribute to both the high regard in which this building is held locally as well our hopes for the future in turning this building into the place to be for thriving businesses and entrepreneurs.

Our current activity is centred around talking to interested parties who are keen to register their interest in the fantastic range of business space available. As well as seeing the demand for flexible office space in the Thrive Enterprise Hub, we have been delighted to seen how many prospective tenants are thinking creatively about how to use the rest of this very unusual and unique space.

If you think you have an interesting business model that would work well in this combination of office space, open plan areas, industrial space and benefit from the aspect of those fantastic curved glass walls, we would be delighted to hear from you. As well as numerous office solutions, we think we can offer spaces that would be perfect for gyms, soft play centres, climbing walls, training centres, warehousing, manufacturing and in a combination unique to this mixed use space.

Keep an eye out for our next set up updates in June regarding our plans for The Ship and other Thrive Hub locations.
